Zoe-perry
Perry is born the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago, Illinois to Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances in television shows in the role of Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in the ABC sitcom Roseanne. Because of their fear of stress, the parents did not want to see the actress pursue acting until turning 18. Perry said that she was too shy to act in high school but began doing shows in the theater at Northwestern University as a way to meet new people after she transferred to the university from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry went in New York to search for television work landing small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led Perry back home to California which is where she discovered theatre work. The Other Place was performed by her mother and her on Broadway in 2013 The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was performed at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry was featured nine times on The Family, an ABC film The Family, in 2016. Her father played her character in her role on the ABC drama Scandal. That same year she played a young character based on Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother in a younger version. The part was offered to her through audition, regardless of the fact that she was a cousin with the character.
