Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights advocate, writer also a model, actor and author. Ali MacGraw is famous for films such as Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. The daughter of an artistic family living in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of arts. When she was a photographer's assistant then she turned her attention towards modeling and acting. The award she received was the Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. MacGraw became an international star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. In just three films, she became the top female box-office star in the entire world. The Grauman's Chinese Theater recorded her signature with handprints, foot prints and handprints in 1972. In addition to The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television show The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers was published. MacGraw has married thrice.
